Travel Insurance Registration
Trip registration is required for those traveling on official University business off-campus (>100 miles) or internationally. Accurate information on travel plans is needed in order to deliver the services and protections the travel insurance policy offers.
University travelers include employees, medical residents, students, fellows, and guests with travel paid by the University.
Please be advised that as of October 2017 security benefits such as security extraction are suspended by iJET for: South Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen. There is no prohibition from travel there, but security related costs will not be covered by iJet.
There are two ways that travel can be registered:
- If travel is booked through UC Travel or Connexxus, your travel itinerary will automatically be registered with iJET/Worldcue. Check your email for your “welcome email” and complete your travel profile.
- If travel is not booked through UC Travel or Connexxus, you must register your out of state or international trip using the Away website. Check your email for your “welcome email” and complete your travel profile.
Once your trip information is transmitted to iJET, a "welcome email" is generated through iJET’s Worldcue system. This email includes a link to update and complete your online profile which houses important contact information. Completion of your profile in Worldcue is a crucial step in assuring your safety throughout your trip. The failure to enter this information may result in communication delays or difficulties in the event of an emergency.
The Worldcue system notifies Insurance & Risk Management about travelers and their itineraries thus providing critical information in the event of an emergency. It is therefore of utmost importance to complete your travel profile in iJET/Worldcue upon receipt of your "welcome email" and also to be well acquainted with the UC travel insurance programs.
